Knight of Camelot

第一次接觸他們就是他們在主流廠牌由Alison Krauss擔綱製作的首張同名專輯~
與Alison Krauss同屬Bluegrass曲風的Nickel Creek~
是由Chris Thile與Sean Watkins,Sara Watkins兄妹所組成的三重唱樂團~
由1989~2000年之間發行了兩張目前已經絕版的專輯~
而在主流廠牌發行的"Nickel Creek"(2000)和"This Side"(2002)兩張專輯都獲得金唱片的認證~
其中第二張專輯"This Side"還讓他們抱回了2003年葛萊美最佳當代民謠專輯~

2005年發行的第三張專輯"Why Should The Fire Die?"是我等了很久的新作~
一發行就獲得2006年葛萊美獎的兩項提名~
分別是2006年葛萊美最佳當代民謠專輯的提名~
和以專輯中的演奏曲"Scotch"獲得2006年葛萊美最佳鄉村演奏表演的提名~
不過台灣之前代理的華納唱片到目前為止都沒有任何發片的消息~
真的是非常的可惜~

他們所使用的主力樂器中最特別的就是台灣人比較不熟悉的曼陀鈴琴(mandolin)~
也是我最愛的一種樂器之一~
當然鄉村樂常出現的班鳩琴(Banjo)也是我的最愛啦~

這一首歌就是他們最新專輯"Why Should The Fire Die?"的首支單曲~
短短的3分多鐘帶出了五段不同的歌詞和三個主題~
第一段由Chris開場而Sara的聲線在第二段加入接著段末Sean的聲音再加入成為三重唱~
鏗鏘有力的鼓聲帶入了些許美洲原住民的味道~
讓你也會想與他們一樣隨著鼓點踏地~
